From Almost Blowing Up the Computer Lab to Finding My Passion: A Hilarious Journey to Cybersecurity

Growing up in a small village, My family had no idea what IT was all about. To me, there were only three professions: doctor, engineer, and teacher. Anything else was just lumped in with civil engineering. But even at a young age, I was drawn to technology like a moth to a flame. And that's when things started to get a little crazy.

In fifth grade, I found myself in the school computer lab. Our teacher specifically told us not to touch anything, but I couldn't resist the siren song of Mario. So, I played and played until I lost track of time. When I finally looked around, I realized I had left all the systems on and locked the door behind me. Oops.

Fast forward to tenth grade, and I finally had my laptop. I spent hours trying to connect my Motorola G2 to the hotspot connection, and eventually succeeded! It was like a scene from a movie, but instead of hacking into the CIA, I was just trying to connect to the internet.

As I dove deeper into the world of technology, I stumbled upon books about investigation and crimes. That's when I realized that there was a whole other world out there, and it was just as interesting as playing Mario or connecting to the internet.

So, here I am today, a cyber security professional with a passion for protecting and defending against all sorts of digital threats. It may not be as glamorous as being a doctor or as technical as being an engineer, but it's my calling. As the great philosopher Homer Simpson once said, "If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing!" And I couldn't agree more.
